Israeli video mistakenly shows Ukrainian camp as Gaza aid, leading to criticism, calls for clarity, and pledges for future transparency.
An official Israeli video about aid for Gaza showed a clip of a Ukrainian refugee camp in Moldova. The video, which was shared on Israel’s official Twitter account, included a short clip at the end claiming to show tents and shelter equipment for Gazans, but it was actually footage from a Ukrainian refugee camp in Moldova. This led to criticism and calls for clarification from the Israeli government who responded “The photo was for illustrative purposes and we should have stated that in the video. Moving forward, we will do our best to ensure transparency in the visuals that we post”.
This is wild.

Israel's official Twitter account has posted a picture of aid for Ukrainian refugees in Moldova in 2022, and pretended it's aid from Israel for Gaza. https://t.co/1vkxHECGEl
